UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 28/05/2009 (04/06/09 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :
- Assistant Electrical Inspectors : 03 posts (SC-1 & UR-2) in Labour Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi
Pay Scale : Rs.6500-10500
Age as on 28-05-2009 not exceeding 35 years.
Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience: Three year in the field of Electrical Engineering including at least one year experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Workshop or in generation , transmission or distribution of electricity or in the administration of Indian Electricity act and rules. - Engineer and Ship Surveyor : 05 posts (ST-1 & UR-4) in Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways
Pay Band : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600
Age as on 07-07-2009 not exceeding 50 years.

Qualifications: First Class Certificate of Competency (Steam and Motor) with eight years service at Sea of which one year must have been as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer OR M.Sc. degree in Maritime Affairs or ite Equiv. including World Maritime University Malmo Sweden with 10 years as Deck Officer of which one yer must have been in the capacity of Chief Officer on a foreign going ship
Fee payable is Rs.50/- in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
